FAQ

Direct answers to the questions evaluators ask before building on Blue Reacher: devices, A2P, Android recipients, volume, compliance, and CRM fit.

Do I need an iPhone, a Mac, or an Apple ID?

No. Lines are dedicated iMessage lines that Blue Reacher provisions and manages. You send through the REST API or your CRM, and nothing runs on your hardware.

Do I need A2P or 10DLC registration?

No. A2P registration is a carrier requirement for SMS traffic. iMessage traffic doesn't pass through carrier SMS filtering, so there's no registration process before you can start sending. Messages that fall back to SMS are still delivered through the platform without a registration step on your side.

What happens when a recipient can't receive iMessage?

The message falls back to SMS automatically, and every message and event carries the delivery_channel that actually carried it. You can also check iMessage availability before sending, up to 100 numbers per call.

How much can I send?

Conversations with engaged contacts are unlimited: anyone who has ever replied, and anyone you have messaged before, is never capped. The daily cap counts only brand-new cold contacts per line, and a warmed line runs at 50 a day for opted-in traffic or 30 fully cold, reached over roughly four weeks of ramp. The enforced numbers are in rate limits, and the reasoning behind them is in deliverability. Scaling volume means adding lines, not pushing one line harder.

Is this TCPA compliant?

The platform enforces the mechanical half: opt-out capture in plain language as well as STOP keywords, account-wide suppression at send time, and send windows. Consent for who you contact is yours, and the compliance guide covers what that requires, including the April 2025 FCC revocation rules, quiet hours, and record-keeping.

Which CRMs work?

Eight platforms connect natively: GoHighLevel (two-way sync plus workflow actions), HubSpot, Salesforce, Close, Pipedrive, Follow Up Boss, Jobber, and Meta lead forms, each covered in integrations. Any other CRM wires up through the send API and webhooks, with contact custom_fields for record matching. There's also an MCP server if you want an AI assistant operating your account.

Can I send media, voice notes, and group messages?

Yes. Media up to 25 MB per message with type specifics in message formatting, voice notes and tapbacks via rich messaging, and group threads via send group message.

How do opt-outs work?

Detected from keywords and plain language, enforced across every line on your account at send time, and exposed so you can sync suppression into your own systems. Details in opt-out handling.

What does "delivered" actually mean?

That the message reached the recipient's thread. It doesn't mean read, and it doesn't mean the line is healthy. The metric that reports both is reply rate, and deliverability explains how to read it.

Where do I start?

The quickstart: API key, one send, status check, and a webhook for the reply, in about five minutes.
